Hudson offers a variety of awards and scholarships every year to recognize students' academic achievements and levels of excellence in many other aspects of school life. Hudson is committed to encouraging students to constantly pursue excellence and to achieve their best in various intellectual, artistic, physical, and social pursuits.
THE HUDSON PRIZE
This Award is given to students at all levels who rank the highest in each subject in one school calendar year. For example, the Grade 9 Hudson Prize in English, the Grade 11 Hudson Prize in Science, etc.
THE HUDSON EXCELLENCE AWARD
Awarded to Grade 9 - 11 students who achieve the highest overall average in each grade in one school calendar year.
GOVERNOR GENERAL'S MEDAL
Awarded to a member of the Graduating Class who has achieved the highest overall academic standing.
ONTARIO SCHOLARS
Grade 12 graduating students who obtain an average of 80% in six Pre-U credits will be designated as Ontario Scholars. These students receive an Ontario Scholar Certificate and a letter of congratulations from the Ontario Ministry of Education.
PRINCIPAL'S SCHOLARSHIPS
Awarded annually to the best all around student in Academics and Athletics, and the best all around student in Academics and the Performing Arts.
THE TEACHERS' AWARD
Awarded to the student who has made the greatest academic improvement over the course of one school calendar year.
THE LEADER'S AWARDS
Awarded to students every school calendar year who have demonstrated excellent leadership skills.
STUDENT GOVERNMENT AWARDS
Awarded annually to students who have made significant or unique contributions to the school or the community.
HUDSON ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS
Awarded to Hudson newcomers who have shown excellence in Academics or other aspects of school life. For details, please contact the Admissions Office or visit our Entrance Scholarships section.
